What is Korea without Kimchi? It is a staple in many of their traditional dishes, it is so common to find it in all their meals as a side dish. It is usually made out of Napa cabbage, radish, some carrots and fused together with the red hot chili flake known as Gochugaru.
Here we learn the most basic kimchi, it is a great introduction to fermentation and a great dish to make for any meal. So get your jars out and clear out a shelf because your whole kitchen is going to smell like kimchi soon.
GINGER PORK (SHOGAYAKI)
Shogayaki or Japanese stir fried ginger pork. It is one of the most common house hold favorite pork dish in Japan, featuring a simple sweet, savory, fiery marinade giving it a simple yet addictive taste. Quick and easy to make and sure to make your belly warm to its core.
It is commonly served with a side of salad, some freshly steamed white rice and with a rumbling hungry tummy. This simple dish is sure the way to go if your looking for a quick lunch, dinner or something to pack for work or school.

Peel and grate your ginger to a fine paste and set it aside. Thinly slice your pork tenderloins into small bite size pieces.
Ingredients

2 Pork Tenderloins

1 Thumb Size Piece Ginger

2tb Light Soy Sauce

1tb Mirin

1 White Onion

1tb Corn Flour

In a mixing bowl add in your tenderloins, along with 2tb of light soy sauce, 1tb of mirin, 1tb of corn flour and your grated ginger. Give it a good mix together till your tenderloins are evenly coated.

Finely slice 1 medium white onion.

Heat up a pan on high heat with a bit of oil.

Once the oil is hot, add in your onions and fry till fragrant and softened. Then add in your pork and give it a quick fry till it is completely cooked through.
Serve up your pork with a side of salad, your favourite side dishes and some freshly steamed rice.
