Hash Browns

You know those lovely fried golden babies you find in Mc Donalds, it comes with a lovely egg Mc muffin in the morning? The crispy outer crust keeping soft pillowy shreds of potato deep inside. Lovely good old hash browns. 

A guarantee dish to get you, your kids, your friends anyone running out of bed early in the morning just to sink their teeth into some crispy hash browns. But this one has a twist, its loaded with cheese for that extra sin points. This is not an everyday breakfast, but it is one for special occasions.

How do you Want to Get Up Today?

Ingredients 

1.

4 Medium Potatoes

2.

1 Egg

3.

1tb Flour (All Purpose)

4.

1te Garlic Powder

5.

1/4 Cup Grated Cheese

1.

Peal the skins of 4 potatoes and start to shred them into a bowl. If you don't have a grater then finely slice the potato into fine little stick.  

2.

Attempt to squeeze as much of the potato juice out of the potato as possible. You want the potato to be as dry as possible to get that crunch that we all love. 

3.

Add in 1 egg and 1tb of flour just to help bind the potato together. 

4.

Add in 1te of garlic powder, 1/4 cup of grated cheese, 1/2te of salt and whatever ever spice and herbs that you want. 

5.

In a pan heat up enough oil on medium high heat to cover the surface of the pan. 

6.

Start to form your lovely little hash browns and start to fry them off in the pan. You should be able to make 10-12 golden hash browns. 

7.

Flip when you start to see the edges get nice and KRISPEEE. Shouldn't take more than 3 minutes per side. 

8.

Plate up and make that breakfast extra special. 

Extra

Add in whatever spice or herb you want into the hash mixture it is yours to customize.
