When the clock strikes midnight on all hallows eve your familiar red Italian ingredient doesn't seem to friendly no more. Their bright red skin starts to darken, picking up the ashes of hell. Their skin starts to rip open, revealing one large MONSTROUS mouth, filled with nothing but HOT BURNING beans just pouring out.
Rumour has it, if you try to eat one of these tasty delectable tomatoes when they are first born they will burn you. Rendering your mouth and tongue unable to taste for at least an hour. You have been warned, cook at your own risk.
Bewitch a Tomato?
6 Medium Tomatoes
1/2 Tin Baked Beans
1/8 Cup Cheddar Cheese
1ts Garlic Powder
With your sharpest KITCHEN knife (not the one for murdering people) begin to carve out a little mouth for your tomato babies.
With a tea spoon begin to dig out all the innards of your tomato and set it aside.
With a fork gently roast your tomato over an open flame to get those nice scorch marks. If you do not have an open flame, try scorching it over a very hot pan.
Once you are happy that they are scorched set them aside.
In a pan on medium heat add in 1/2 a tin of baked beans along with 1ts of garlic powder, 1/8 cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the tomato innards.
Give it a good mix around and heat it till it is HOT, like VERY HOT. Then set aside, to allow it to cool.
With some spring onions/scallions slice very thin slices at a diagonal to form the eyes. You will need 6 pair of eyes in total.
With a teaspoon begin to scoop in the HOT cheesy beans into the mouth of the tomato.
Top with your eyes and you got yourself a LIVING MONSTEROUS TOMATO. (See diagram below if you are lost)
Enjoy and be warned, it has been told they tend to burn people.
