What is Korea without Kimchi? It is a staple in many of their traditional dishes, it is so common to find it in all their meals as a side dish. It is usually made out of Napa cabbage, radish, some carrots and fused together with the red hot chili flake known as Gochugaru.
Here we learn the most basic kimchi, it is a great introduction to fermentation and a great dish to make for any meal. So get your jars out and clear out a shelf because your whole kitchen is going to smell like kimchi soon.
RAMLY BURGER
Le Ramly Burger, you can easily see this all over the streets of Malaysia. You will most commonly see this on a little road side cart with a guy or 2 flipping burgers, layered with flavours, eggs, veggies and a ton of sauce.
This was my go to street snack when I was in Malaysia. It is a humble bun toasted with a "HEALTHY" amount of butter, with a questionable patty made by RAMLY (A FAMOUS Burger Brand & Actor in Malaysia) wrapped in a soft fluffy egg, commonly healthy-fied with some cucumber, lettuce, and tomatoes and splattered with a ton of sauce, like a lot. It is basically 50% sauce, 50% other stuff.
Enjoyed whenever and wherever you are, but you will need a lot of tissues or access to a sink because you will need to clean yourself up after eating this amazingly saucy, addictive burger.
IS IT BURGER TIME?
Ingredients
1.
4 Burger Buns
2.
4 Instant Burger Patties
3.
Ice Burg Lettuce
4.
Cucumber
5.
Tomatoes
6.
4 Eggs
7.
Maggi Seasoning
8.
White Pepper
1.
Begin by prepping your veggies, this includes washing and shredding your ice burg lettuce along with washing and slicing your cucumber and tomatoes.
2.
In a medium high heat pan or grill add on a little bit of oil and let your burger patties cook. Once it is half cooked season your patties with some Magical Maggi Seasoning and White Pepper.
(this is the key step of turning a burger into a Ramley burger, the MSG and Spices)
3.
Whilst your burger is cooking crack 4 eggs in a bowl and add in a dash of maggi seasoning (yes more MSG) and a pinch of white pepper. Mix well.
4.
Once your bugers are cooked through, set them aside. In the same pan portion out 1 portion of egg into the pan and place your patty in the center. Slowly wrap up your burger with your egg. Rinse and repeat.
5.
In the same pan add in either some oil or some butter and toast your buns. Making sure your buns are nice and toasty, we all love some toasty buns.
6.
Time to start assembling. Start with a bun, then your patty, your choice of veggies and then... yes squirt your sauces all over it. Most commonly is, tomato, mayo and chili sauce but you can add on whatever you want.
7.
Enjoy your burger with 2 hands and maybe 10 tissues... maybe 20...
Extra:
Of course there is no right or wrong, you can add in cheese, or whatever you want.
